The BumGenius 3.0 turned out to be perfect for the beach. We left the insert in the diaper while playing on the beach and when we weren't planning to immerse her in the water. When it came time to get in, we just slipped the insert out and tightened it back up...perfect for the single purpose of swim diapers ;).

CUTE picture! I love doing this too! I mostly have used Fuzzibunz, which work the same way (though I do have a few BG's as well). I love that I can actually have them wear the diaper TO the beach/pool, and while playing before, unlike paper swim diapers that are not water proof and leak if they pee. And, way cheaper than buying a cloth swim diaper cover that is basically the same thing, for pools that require it. Win win.
